Yesterday we got to sit down with Eli McCormick, CEO and President of Bestway Express, and learn some valuable business and life lessons.

Bestway Express is a trucking business that was started 44 years ago by the McCormick family and is ran by the McCormick brothers to this day. The business has grown into several entities and is still growing and changing to meet the demands of the world we live in all while still carrying on the family values that started the company.

Mr. McCormick talked about important business matters regarding mergers and acquisitions, looking for growth in new industries and technologies that have helped eliminate problems such as tracking devices and AI.

Eli also talked to the students about the importance of communication, accepting new opportunities, being a “sponge” by learning from others around you and the importance of not letting business supersede quality of life.

We were beyond grateful for the time and knowledge he was willing to pass along!
