Last Monday, a few of our Knox County CEO students had the opportunity to go on a visit to Sunrise Coal LLC in Oaktown. As opposed to the typical business casual, these students donned their hard hats and safety gear for a trip underground, through the wash plant, and around the mine grounds. These students came away with a new understanding of just what it takes to keep the lights on in areas like Knox County. We would like to extend our gratitude to Sunrise Coal for such a unique opportunity and a visit that these students are sure to remember!
